Irix brand's offer also includes professional film lenses, which have garnered many rave reviews and awards in polls of industry websites since their first appearance on the market. The Irix Cine line was designed in cooperation with professional filmmakers, whose ideas and suggestions were the main decision-making factor. With their relatively low price and excellent performance, they are an excellent alternative to expensive film lenses. Together they form a unique system with a unified look and performance, available with Canon RF, Canon EF, Sony E, Nikon Z, Leica L, Olympus / Panasonic MFT and Arri PL mounts.

When designing the Irix Cine lenses, all current film industry standards were taken into account – each lens is equipped with a 95 mm diameter mounting sleeve, offering the possibility to attach an additional matte box or other filmmaking accessories. Thanks to standard 0.8 mm-spaced gears located in the same place on each housing, they work perfectly with any manual and electronic follow focus. Their state-of-the-art Ultra HD 8K optics provide excellent image resolution and are almost free of undesired distortion. Each optical component of the lenses is coated with additional anti-reflective Neutrino Coating that reduces the risk of flares and blips to a minimum.

Our Cine lenses are designed to each have a similar, relatively low weight - this makes them work perfectly with gimbals and saves the operator from constantly balancing the device every time he changes his lens on set. Their housing is made of durable aluminum and magnesium alloy, which guarantees many years of use even in the most intensive conditions. An internal focusing mechanism ensures that the dimensions of the lens remain unchanged during operation, so it does not strain the delicate motors of the stabilizer.

The lenses are available in a wide variety of focal lengths, from wide-angle, through standard, to telephoto. As in photographic lenses, we've managed to reduce focus breathing in Cine optics to almost none, so the angle of view remains the same over the entire focusing range. All models use a reliable sealing system to protect their interiors from dust or sand particles and moisture. The standardized 86-millimeter filter size available on most models allows the use of accessories of the same diameter with each lens, saving time and costs for the camera operator. Each model is also equipped with a mounting system based on a strong magnet, which allows the attachment of dedicated accessories such as lens hoods or Irix Edge MMS filters.

As part of the Irix Cine line, lenses with metric and imperial focus scales can be purchased, making them suitable for film sets shot in any country in the world. Irix film lenses can also be purchased as part of professional kits with a sturdy storage case included.
