Irix Edge MMS Black Mist 1/2 filter SR

Black Mist filters are often used for portraits because they can soften small skin imperfections and harsh highlights. They are also useful in night scenes with visible light sources and in stylized landscape or film shots where a gentler highlight transition is wanted.
Three strengths are available: 1/8 for the lightest diffusion, 1/4 for a moderate effect and 1/2 for the most pronounced glow and softening. These MMS versions are intended for Irix Cine lenses equipped with the front Magnetic Mount System. The 11mm T4.3 and 21mm T1.5 do not support front-mounted MMS filters.

The optical glass carries 18 coating layers on each side. Super Resistant tempered glass improves durability, while the outer NANO layer helps repel water, oil and dust and makes routine cleaning easier.
The low-profile frame is shaped for handling and direct magnetic attachment to compatible Irix Cine lenses. These MMS versions are not standard screw-in filters.
