€89.40 €149.00 Save 40%The Irix Edge 100mm SR Soft Gradual Filter is a type of tinted filter which has a long transition between full transparency and maximum density (about one third of the filter’s height), so it’s especially useful in an area with an irregular horizon line – that is, when the sky (naturally the brightest part of the image) should be covered by the more tinted part of the filter, the irregular horizon line by the gradual, and the dark part of the image with the transparent part of the filter.
The Irix Edge Reverse Gradual Filter combines the features of a hard and soft filter, particularly finding its application when it comes to sunset and sunrise photography.
How They Work?The Irix Edge Reverse Gradual Filter is a relatively new type of filter that combines the features of a hard and soft filter, particularly finding its application when it comes to sunset and sunrise photography. Probably every one of us has tried at least once to capture that beautiful view of the sun emerging from the horizon, after which we end up encountering a problem; either the frame was visible, the sun and the horizon has turned into a white spot, or we’ve managed to somehow capture the sun complete with a beautiful façade of pastel colour background of black emptiness. However, the design of this filter allows us to eliminate such problems, being a filter that is half transparent with hard edge (Hard Gradual), and then gradually reducing the density (Soft Gradual). Such a construction ensures that it covers the narrow spectrum of the frame within the horizon line, and so allowing us the possibility to ensure the correct exposure of the photograph.
Quality that you can trust Only the highest quality optical glass is used during the production of Irix Edge filters; with 99.6% light transmission. Multilayer anti-reflective coatings have been applied on both sides of each filter, which helps produce images without flaring, with excellent contrast and sharpness at the same time.
Super Resistant (SR) optical glassThis technology makes the filter extremely resistant to damage – toughened optical glass covered with special nano-coating makes the filter survive virtually anything.
